Rooted in small-town Wisconsin, I’m a designer and educator who helps small businesses and nonprofits bring ideas to life through creative problem solving and purposeful design.

Hi, I’m Jen.

I was raised in Minnesota, but my chosen home is the small town of Hustisford, Wisconsin. I love the slower pace, the sense of community, and the creativity that small-town life inspires.

I have a B.A. in Strategic Communications from the University of Minnesota, studied education at Hamline University, and am a certified ESL/EL teacher in Wisconsin. My background in teaching shapes how I approach design by using empathy, clarity, and a focus on helping people learn and connect.

I also studied Advertising Art Direction at Brainco School of Advertising and Design in Minneapolis and am currently continuing my education through IDOL (Instructional Design and Online Learning), where I’m expanding my understanding of instructional design and learning strategy. Recently, I have begun exploring AI prompt engineering to stay curious and current in the evolving creative landscape. Next on my agenda is learning about AI Agents!

Most of my freelance work has been with local nonprofits and small businesses, where I’ve found my purpose; helping mission-driven people and organizations bring their ideas to life through clear, creative design.
